Project Description
Scope of Work
Working with the City of Tacoma, SCL monitored and analyzed numerous systems pertaining to the shorelines, watersheds, wetlands, tidelands, and other areas of the city. SCL also provided on-call for design, permit, technical, and construction services for various storm drainage, water, solid waste, and environmental/ scientific related projects. In addition, SCL prepared reports and provided assessments in support of the city projects to comply with the Endangered Species Act (ESA), and with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements. SCL also provided environmental technical assistance to City staff during project planning, scoping, and design; assist with preparation and review of environmental assessments and opinions; prepare and evaluate SEPA checklists and any environmental permits; conduct stream/wetland delineation, mitigation and monitoring; assist with design of habitat enhancement and mitigation projects; conduct post-construction monitoring of projects; and prepare Biological Assessments (BA) and Biological Evaluations (BE), as required.
